Dublin, May 2008
During our Wales Tour in March we visited the Centre for Alternative Technology
and we had invested in solar panels and a wind turbine. Now the time had come to
set it all up in the garden. McBear had done a lot of studies and planning and
he had made a technical drawing on how to set up our wind turbine. McBear called
it McBear Mark 1. Sam helped us carry out lots of components to the garden.
"Here's a good spot," McBear claimed and set down the solar panel.

While McBear and Roger was studying the technical drawing, Sam went back to
the house to get the pole for the wind turbine. Roger looked at the drawing.
Roger looked at the drawing and got very confused due to the many components
and thingies shown.
"Are you sure the drawing is correct?" Roger asked.
"Of course it's correct! I made it!"

McBear then realised he had forgotten something. He told Roger to start out
and went back to the house.
Roger had a look at the drawing. It looked very technical. Roger wasn't sure
what was up and what was down.
"You know, Sam, it's not always easy to work out the mind of McBear. He is
surely engineous, but not always easy to follow!"
When McBear returned, he was accompanied by Ursula and Andrews who were carrying
a steel pole for the wind turbine.
"Wowww!" Roger said. "Where did you get the fine pole from? It looks really
professional."
"Well, our owners had just bought a new curtain railing for the bathroom, so I
asked if we could have a piece of it... And Ursula wants to help us. Her Ph.D.
was about efficiency of solar panels, so she knows how to adjust solar panels."

Once the wind turbine was assembled and the pole erected, Roger went up to mount the turbine and then it was all finished and ready to go.
Now, with two solar panels connected and the wind turbine working, McBear
and Roger sat down to enjoy their work. Roger got philosofical.
"You know, McBear..." he started, "we are cultural entities reflecting
our time...!"
"We are WHA'...???"
"Yeah! We are psychological projections of our owners hopes and visions."
"Wow!" McBear said. "That's fine with me as long the turbine is spinning
and we are helping the environment.
